Meh

I ride with via often, but there are a few things I have a problem with. 1. The cars with third row seating... I may as well take the bus if were going to make that many stops, not to mention the fact of having to climb to the back of the car in a dress 2. I think pre-paying $25 or $50 for a $5.44 ride is ripping off the customers. Theres always money left over and its not in my pocket. We should be able to bank any amount of money that we want like on a metro card. 3. And on that note, stop saying rides are $5. Theyre not; theyre $5.44. 4. Stop shoving 4 passengers into a Camry. Its too much!

Different than Uber or Lyft, but great for what it is

I rode Via for the first time last night, and was very pleased. I sometimes have to go from Chelsea to Williamsburg at around 9:30 pm, due to work. As anyone who lives in the area knows, its a bit of a haul from Chelsea Market to the 8th Ave L stop, and often times the L likes to take its sweet time getting there in the evening. On top of that, I was exhausted after a very long day, and it was rather cold and windy out. I would often call Lyft in cases like these, (as they are cheaper than Uber), but at $20 per ride, the expenses can quickly add up. One of my coworkers suggested Via to me and gave me her code, so I got $10 in credit. Yes, I had to go to a cross street, which was a tad annoying, but I rode from Chelsea to Williamsburg for only $6 off of my credit. In other words, I got a free ride home by a very polite driver in a clean, new, car. While I would stick with the subway when going to work due to pick up times and possible stops for other passengers, Via is perfect for when you dont want to deal with the subway, but dont wish to spend a lot of money.

From Hero to 0

If you live in Brooklyn and bought a monthly pass for "unlimited" rides, they just changed the policy to add $5 per ride plus tolls (which you cant control the route they take). They also did this without warning customers who previously bought passes and renewed (like myself). Im sticking w Uber and Lyft once my quasi unlimited +$5 and toll rides are up.

Pretty bad

No support. Ride fails charged anyway, cant reach anyone.

New via customer for life

Fast friendly and a lot cheaper than that other app that rhymes with guber

Computer Systems very Sketchy

Asked to walk five city blocks in one minute to catch a car. Beware

Service has gone downhill Viapass is a nightmare

I used to love VIA. I purchased unlimited passes every week for two months. I ran into a few issues but they were to be expected given the growth of the company. Sometime over the past few weeks the service has become impossible to use. It got to a point where the minimum wait on rides was 10 minutes and sometimes 20+ minutes. At 70$ a week /280 a month they should be somewhat reliable and timely but they arent. In addition drop off/ pick up points were sometimes 5/6 + blocks away from the destination. I couldnt use their service for four days the last week I purchased because the wait for pickup was so long. I asked customer service to prorate the fee and they refused.

LIC to Manhattan

Just tried the ride from LIC Queens into Manhattan and it was great. Price is very affordable and driver was super polite, helpful and soooo nice. Will definitely use it again!!

Love Via!

Great ride, great service and app is easy to use!

The disaster paid ride in NYC

They literally "dumped" you off whatever they want , almost 2 blocks away from your final destination; even under the storm and specially if you caring groceries bags; they really dont care , its so rude and you are treated like garbage!!

A great service!

I have many apps but Ive never reviewed them until now. Via is an excellent app. Its easy to set your pick up and drop off locations) and you can set-up favorite addresses. The drivers are almost always on time plus you can track their location before they arrive. I have found them to be courteous and safe drivers. To top it off the cost of $5 plus tax is a great value. Its hard to justify ever getting in a taxi again.

Dont waste your time

Dont bother taking this service unless you dont have to be anywhere and you have over an hour to waste. Service will pick up and drop off other passengers before you and take the most roundabout routes to locations. Their goal is to pick up as many people as possible and they dont care how long youre sitting in the car. Most drivers also dont know NY streets and their GPS is terrible. They will drive right thru Times Square or Union Square in rush hour traffic where youll sit without moving for no reason. Not worth the money you save when it takes over an hour to get to your destination.

Super impressed

Im really impressed by via. This is what a bus system invented in 2016 would be like. Fast, efficient, and affordable.

Great service

Really good experience and service. Affordable and fast.

As Paris Hilton would say...

"Loves it!"

My review

My rides were free credit and I almost didnt use it again because its that bad. Theres no limit to the stops it makes so you keep picking up riders along the way a 15 min Ride becomes an hour so may as well take the bus. And you have to keep moving your seat with each new person they pick up so if you do use it choose the front seat !

Great if youre not in a rush!!

If youre not in a rush and youre okay stopping multiple times to pick someone up and drop someone off you can get from the very bottom of Manhattan all the way to 110th St. for literally $5. Its amazing!!

Great low prices!

Love the service, keep it up!

Disappointing

The app consistently lies about time you will wait. And, man, will you wait! And drivers generally have no clue about routes. Using up my credit, then deleting app
