I just rode crosstown from 73rd and Broadway to 80th and 1st ave in a big black suburban, through rush hour traffic, for $5. What else can I say? That wouldve cost me at least 20 bucks in a crappy yellow cab. This is amazing. I love VIA!!

Ive officially stopped using Uber & Lyft and started using Via because I dont mind sharing a large SUV with 3 other people for a flat rate of $5 (when you pre-pay; its basically a refilling method). But even if you dont pre-pay, its like 7 or 8 dollars, which is still cheaper than Uber & Lyft. The ride set-up is basically like Lyft Line or Uber Pull but cheaper and with additional riders. You will never have more than 4 riders in the car though. So if you arent in a hurry, dont mind sharing the ride, and enjoy saving money, this ride-sharing app is for you! Living in New York is already expensive enough; make sure your ride isnt.

Fast, clean and friendliest drivers! Thank and love this service! Game changer for busy NYC hopping. They run on channels so you are never taken way out of route. Anyone who has a problem with Via can go away. This is the best car service to ever hit NYC transporatation!

50% of the time I ride alone. If there are other pick-ups, who cares, its $5! Also they never go out of the way for other riders-they have a route and they pick-up along the way. When I did ride share through über and lyft, they went all over NYC picking up people. Via is so much better and cheaper than the rest!

I love Via! Via has hit it on this nose by creating a really intelligent system that improves how we get around cities. The cars are so nice, the drivers make my day, and I always have great conversations with other riders! A++

Via has been a game changer for my commute in Chicago (Lincoln Park -> Loop). You absolutely cannot beat it for $3.95, and yes Ive tried UberPool -- Via is 1,000x better. Amazing customer service, too. (Real humans, hello!)

Slowest way to get anywhere. Only take it if youre low on money and have a lot of time. Theres never less than a full car on your trip. The drivers go out of their way to get more people and theres no way to opt out of this.

I live in Chicago and Via has totally replaced the train for me — especially on rainy days. No more “signal issues” causing unexpected delays. I don’t usually review apps, but I had to review Via because I am such a fan.

It has been almost a year since I started taking Via. At first, I thought I would just take it now and then. Now I take it every day to and from work, home from dinner in the evenings, and I cant wait until they expand their Saturday service. When my friend gave me his connection he said, "It will change your life." He was right. It has. Clean, fast, comfortable. Better, way better, than the bus. I love Via!

In morning takes way to long to arrive. Never accurate on time. Cannot communicate unless they make a mistake. Customer service for the app is Zero.

Dont bother taking this service unless you dont have to be anywhere and you have over an hour to waste. Service will pick up and drop off other passengers before you and take the most roundabout routes to locations. Their goal is to pick up as many people as possible and they dont care how long youre sitting in the car. Most drivers also dont know NY streets and their GPS is terrible.

Via rocks. Great cars, professional drivers and great customer service in those rare instances when it is needed. Beats a cab any day. Cant recommend enough.

Never had a bad experience with via. Yes, at times may be slow but I only use it when I am not in a rush, cant beat the price and the cars are always new and super clean.
